Conducting Officer Portfolio Management & Finance F/M

Morgan Philips Executive Search has been exclusively retained by an established Third-Party Management Company based in Luxembourg to recruit an experienced Conducting Officer in charge of Portfolio Management & Finance F/M.

Following a recent change in ownership, our client is entering a new phase of strategic development, with ambitious plans to expand its activities, strengthen its governance framework and develop its local team.

This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an experienced professional seeking to play an active role in the transformation and growth of a Luxembourg-based ManCo.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management & Investment Oversight

• Act as the Conducting Officer responsible for Portfolio Management activities in accordance with CSSF requirements.
• Oversee delegated portfolio managers and investment advisers across UCITS and AIF structures.
• Monitor investment strategies, portfolio performance, investment restrictions and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise investment due diligence processes and participate in investment and valuation committees.
• Ensure appropriate governance, reporting and oversight of portfolio management activities.

Finance & Financial Oversight

• Take responsibility for the financial oversight of the Management Company.
• Supervise financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Monitor financial performance, regulatory capital requirements and financial risks.
• Coordinate with external auditors, accountants and relevant service providers.
• Ensure appropriate financial governance and reporting to the Board of Directors.

Governance & Strategic Development

• Act as a key member of the authorised management team and contribute to strategic decision-making.
• Maintain strong relationships with the CSSF, the Board of Directors and external stakeholders.
• Participate in the development of new investment activities and the expansion of the ManCo's services.
• Contribute to the recruitment, structuring and development of the local team.
• Strengthen internal policies, operational processes and governance frameworks in line with regulatory requirements.

Your Profile

• At least 10 years of experience within the Luxembourg investment funds industry, ideally with a Management Company or AIFM.
• Previous CSSF approval as a Conducting Officer is strongly preferred.
• Solid expertise in Portfolio Management Oversight, investment governance and delegation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of financial management, financial reporting and regulatory capital requirements.
• Excellent knowledge of UCITS, AIFMD and CSSF Circular 18/698.
• Proven experience working with Boards of Directors, regulators and senior stakeholders.
• Strong leadership capabilities, strategic mindset and ability to operate in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Fluency in English is essential; French or German would be an advantage.
