[Hsinchu]Storage Systems Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Manager to lead the architecture and development of cutting-edge hardware platforms for high-performance storage accelerator solutions. This role requires deep expertise in PCIe Gen5/Gen6 protocols, hands-on board-level debugging, and design of PCIe, OCP, and EDSFF form factors. You will drive system architecture, validation, compliance with industry standards, and support high-volume manufacturing. Familiarity with emerging interface technologies like CXL and UALink is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
PCIe Protocol Expertise & Debugging
- Serve as the technical authority on PCIe Gen5/Gen6 protocols and physical layer implementations
- Perform hands-on debugging and root-cause analysis for development and field issues
- Provide guidance on emerging high-speed interconnect technologies, including CXL and UALink
Hardware Design & Development
- Lead design and development of PCIe HHHL, OCP 3.0 NIC, and EDSFF form factor boards for high-volume production
- Architect and implement high-speed interfaces compliant with PCIe Gen5 and OCP standards
- Conduct thorough Power Integrity (PI) and Signal Integrity (SI) analyses to ensure robust board performance
Testing & Validation
- Drive Design Validation Testing (DVT) and Production Validation Testing (PVT)
- Develop and execute thermal test plans in collaboration with internal teams and external labs
Compliance & Certification
- Ensure hardware designs meet industry standards and certifications, including FIPS, RoHS, and other regulatory requirements
Manufacturing Support
- Own and manage Functional Circuit Test (FCT) and In-Circuit Test (ICT) processes
- Lead RMA analysis and collaborate with customers and manufacturing teams to resolve board-level issues
Qualifications
- Deep expertise in PCIe Gen5/Gen6 protocols and OCP standards
- Proven experience in high-speed board design, SI/PI analysis, and board-level debugging
- Experience with compliance testing and certification processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Educational Requirements:
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 6 years of experience, or
- MS + 5 years of experience, or
- Ph.D. + 3 years of experience
