Key Responsibilities
This role will act as an in-house legal advisor, supporting the business operations in Taiwan and providing comprehensive legal guidance across a wide range of functions:
Commercial Contracts
• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements with clients and suppliers, including long-term supply and service arrangements
• Maintain proper contract documentation and lifecycle management
Corporate Governance
• Assist in preparing and maintaining corporate governance documents
• Support company secretarial matters, including board and shareholder meetings
• Prepare meeting minutes, resolutions, and ensure proper corporate record-keeping
Compliance & Regulatory
• Ensure business activities and contracts are aligned with internal policies and local regulatory requirements
• Track and interpret relevant regulatory updates, and advise internal stakeholders accordingly
Strategic Projects
• Provide legal support for business expansion initiatives, including investment projects and M&A activities
Dispute & Litigation
• Manage and coordinate external counsel on disputes and litigation matters arising from daily operations
Intellectual Property
• Oversee IP-related matters, including trademarks, patents, licensing, and brand protection
Training & Ethics
• Deliver internal training on compliance topics such as anti-corruption, competition law, and code of conduct
• Support internal investigations related to ethical or compliance concerns
Requirements
• Law degree from a recognized university
• 7–10 years of legal experience, ideally combining law firm and in-house exposure within an international environment
• Qualified to practice law in Taiwan or the US is a plus
• Strong communication skills in both Mandarin and English
