A well-known Taiwan-based group affiliate and publicly listed company is expanding its organization and hiring a Legal Director. This role oversees legal affairs, IP, licensing, and contract management, and acts as a key strategic partner to senior management. Strong experience in IP, licensing, and commercial contracts is required, along with excellent English to support overseas and cross-border business.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement overall legal strategy and legal risk management framework
- Oversee intellectual property matters, including patents, technologies, trademarks, and IP protection
- Lead legal work related to licensing, collaboration, technology transfer, and M&A-related agreements
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of bilingual contracts (e.g., NDA, supply, distribution, R&D collaboration, licensing agreements)
- Provide timely, practical, and business-oriented legal advice to management and internal stakeholders
- Support overseas business development, cross-border transactions, and international partnerships
- Coordinate with external legal counsels, patent firms, and relevant advisors
- Establish and optimize internal legal policies, processes, and compliance practices
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Law; Taiwan or overseas BAR qualification is a strong plus
- 10+ years of legal experience; industry background open
- Experience working in large matrix / group-structured organizations preferred
- Solid expertise in IP, licensing, contract negotiation, and cross-border transactions
- Familiar with corporate governance and relevant regulations
- Fluent in English (spoken and written), able to independently handle overseas business matters
- Strong strategic mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Prior people management or team leadership experience
