MAKING SUCCESS STORIES HAPPEN

As a pioneer in co-packaged optics (CPO), we are shattering AI data bottlenecks by moving data at the speed of light. Backed by industry giants, our solution replaces electricity with light to move data faster, further, and with a fraction of the energy. We are seeking a high-caliber Optical Validation & Thermal Engineer to join our team in Taiwan to unleash next-generation AI scale-up architectures.

🚀 Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced Module Validation: Perform functional testing and validation of External Laser Small Form Factor Pluggable (ESLFP) optical modules at both EVB and rack/system levels.

  • Optical Characterization: Set up state-of-the-art test equipment to measure Optical Engine (OE)/COS/COB performance, including optical power, wavelength, RIN, linewidth, PER, and ORL.

  • Thermal Engineering: Conduct thermal simulation, testing, and characterization across diverse operating temperatures. Evaluate heat dissipation, TEC performance, and innovative cooling solutions (Air & Liquid cooling).

  • Root Cause Analysis: Partner with hardware, optics, firmware, and mechanical teams to debug product issues and perform deep-dive failure analysis during Reliability, DVT, and Functional testing.

  • NPI & Manufacturing Bridge: Collaborate with internal manufacturing teams, CM, and ODM partners to ensure a seamless transition from engineering validation to high-volume production testing.

  • Design of Experiments (DOE): Lead DOEs to validate NPI optical products and provide innovative feedback on PCB, TEC, TIMs, and housing thermal performance.

🎓 Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Photonics, or a related field.

  • Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in optical module testing (e.g., External Laser Modules, Optical Transceivers, AOC, or high-speed communication hardware).

  • Technical Depth: * Strong understanding of CWDM/DWDM/EML laser diodes used in advanced optical modules.

    • Proficiency in EVB-level and system/rack-level testing environments.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze manufacturing test data, generate comprehensive validation reports, and identify process variations to develop improvement plans.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Essential for global team collaboration).

  • Problem Solving: Exceptional debugging skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.

🌟 Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry Background: Experience in Silicon Photonics, semiconductor manufacturing, or advanced optical interconnect technologies.

  • Manufacturing Exposure: Prior experience in an optical product testing/validation role supporting NPI and manufacturing test development.

  • Mobility: Willingness to work at contract manufacturer (CM) sites and travel internationally (20–30%) as required.

💡 Why This Role?

This is a brand-new role within a team that is redefining how AI data centers operate. You will be at the intersection of optics, thermal science, and AI hardware, working with the world’s leading semiconductor ecosystem to build the future of high-speed interconnects.
