MAKING SUCCESS STORIES HAPPEN

ummary / Objective:
As an SI Applications Engineer, you will support product design-in by performing signal integrity (SI) analysis at both system and component levels for internal and external customers. This role requires strong technical expertise along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will engage with cross-functional teams, adapt to dynamic priorities, and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of understanding.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Perform component- and system-level simulations to support product design-in
  • Apply advanced modeling and simulation techniques to design connectors, cable assemblies, and evaluation PCBs
  • Contribute to the development of high-performance interconnect solutions within tight project timelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical direction based on SI simulation and measurement insights
  • Conduct high-speed empirical and analytical SI evaluations of interconnect systems
  • Validate designs and correlate measurement results with simulations using tools such as VNA, TDR, and oscilloscopes
  • Support released products through optimization, characterization, and application engineering
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and white papers
  • Utilize strong project management and problem-solving skills to manage multiple priorities
  • Travel as needed for training, customer engagement, and industry events
  • Train and support engineers with varying levels of experience in SI methodologies and tools

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in signal integrity, including high-speed electrical testing environments
  • Hands-on experience with electromagnetic simulation tools, especially 3D field solvers such as Ansys HFSS, SIwave, or similar
  • Familiarity with system-level SI tools such as Keysight ADS, Cadence Allegro, or HyperLynx
  • Proficient in using SI test equipment including TDR, VNA, and oscilloscopes
  • Understanding of interconnect manufacturing processes is a plus
  • Knowledge of PCB design and fabrication
  • Programming experience in MATLAB or Python is a plus
  • Strong learning agility and adaptability to new technologies
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional and customer-facing interactions

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field

Training:

  • On-the-job training as required
