We are seeking a highly skilled Silicon Test Engineer with strong expertise in Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and System-Level Testing (SLT) to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will lead and execute New Product Introduction (NPI) test activities from early silicon bring-up to full-scale mass production.

You will work closely with a global, cross-functional team spanning IC design, product engineering, foundry partners, and reliability testing. This position requires deep technical knowledge in semiconductor testing alongside strong execution capability to drive multiple concurrent chip programs to success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Program Development: Design, debug, and optimize robust ATE and SLT test programs for both silicon validation and high-volume manufacturing (HVM).

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with design, product, firmware, and validation teams to define test plans and implement comprehensive test coverage.

  • Yield & Data Analysis: Analyze post-silicon test data to drive continuous improvements in product yield, performance, and reliability.

  • Test Methodology & Coverage: Develop and maintain pattern conversion, test methodologies, and structural test implementations for complex digital and analog IP blocks.

  • DFT & Test Interface Support: Support and validate test interfaces including JTAG, Scan, Boundary Scan, MBIST, and standard serial/parallel protocols.

  • Failure Analysis & Debug: Perform deep-dive root cause failure analysis and debug support on both NPI engineering samples and production fallout.

  • Automation & Efficiency: Automate test data collection, log processing, and statistical reporting to maximize test efficiency and scalability.

  • NPI Execution: Support NPI milestones, continuously optimizing test time, pattern efficiency, and overall test visual economics.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Industry Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in semiconductor test engineering or product engineering.

  • ATE & SLT Expertise: Direct hands-on experience with commercial ATE platforms (e.g., Advantest) as well as System-Level Testing (SLT) environments and functional debug.

  • Programming Skills: Proficient in scripting and test software development using Python, C/C++, or equivalent languages.

  • Test Methodologies: Solid understanding of semiconductor test concepts, defect coverage, pattern conversion, and test data analytics (STDF).

  • Protocol & Interface Knowledge: Familiarity with test/debug protocols (JTAG, Boundary Scan) and high-speed/bus interfaces (such as I2C, SPI, eMMC, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, etc.).

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven track record in failure analysis, yield optimization, and pattern debug.

  • Tools & Workflow: Hands-on experience with test data visualization tools and modern collaborative workflow/tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
