Core Responsibilities:
1. Operational Excellence & Yield Management
Yield Optimization: Drive continuous improvement in "Line Yield" and "Die Yield" to meet aggressive quarterly targets.
Throughput & Cycle Time: Oversee production scheduling to maximize wafer starts per month (WSPM) while minimizing cycle time.
OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness): Ensure that multi-million dollar lithography (EUV/DUV), etching, and deposition tools operate at peak uptime.
2. Financial & Strategic Leadership
P&L Ownership: Full accountability for the site’s bottom line, including labor costs, raw materials (wafers/chemicals), and energy consumption.
CapEx Planning: Lead the installation and qualification of new toolsets for technology node migrations (e.g., transitioning from 7nm to 5nm).
Strategic Expansion: Manage site scaling, including cleanroom expansions and facility upgrades.
3. Customer & Quality Assurance
Foundry-Customer Interface: Serve as the primary point of escalation for tier-one fabless clients regarding production status and quality excursions.
Quality Systems: Maintain rigorous adherence to ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (Automotive), and other industry-specific certifications.
4. People & Safety Culture
Workforce Development: Lead a multi-disciplinary team of 1,000+ employees, including Process Engineers, Technicians, and Support Staff.
EHS Leadership: Champion a "Zero-Harm" environment, ensuring strict compliance with hazardous material handling and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
Industry Tenure: 15+ years in semiconductor manufacturing, ideally wafer foundry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Director of Operations or Fab Manager).
Foundry Knowledge: Deep understanding of front-end-of-line (FEOL) and back-end-of-line (BEOL) processes.
Technical & Soft Skills
Six Sigma / Lean: Black Belt certification or equivalent expertise in statistical process control (SPC).
Crisis Management: Proven ability to lead a site through "Down-Fab" events or supply chain disruptions.
Communication: Ability to translate complex technical yield data into clear business outcomes for board-level presentations.
