Role Overview
In this highly visible role, you will serve as a Senior Hardware Engineer responsible for driving complex product development from initial concept through to full-scale production. You will be actively involved in the system design of advanced embedded computing products, taking ownership of hardware specifications and engineering validation. This position requires a proactive engineer capable of addressing challenging technical problems while managing multiple concurrent tasks in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
Core Responsibilities

End-to-End Product Ownership: Lead the hardware lifecycle from conceptual design and specification through to manufacturing and production release.

System Design & Specification: Develop comprehensive hardware specifications and rigorous test plans for embedded computing systems.

Schematic Capture & Design: Utilize OrCAD for schematic capture and collaborate closely with Layout, Mechanical, and Signal Integrity (SI) engineers to ensure design integrity.

Lab Validation & Bring-up: Lead system bring-up activities and execute detailed engineering validation in a lab environment.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive technical discussions with internal cross-functional teams and engage in direct customer interactions to resolve complex issues.

Supply Chain & Build Management: Direct hardware builds and oversee the procurement process to ensure project timelines are met.
Qualifications & Experience

Industry Expertise: At least 6+ years of dedicated hardware engineering experience.

Board Design Mastery: Hands-on knowledge of board-level design, including schematic capture, PCB layout instruction, and signal integrity optimization.

Technical Toolset: High proficiency with industry-standard design tools, specifically Cadence OrCAD and Allegro.

Interface Knowledge: Thorough understanding of basic protocols (I2C, SMBus, SPI, UART, USB) and high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR, Display, and Network interfaces).

Power Electronics: Direct experience in DC-DC step-down converter design.

System Architecture: Previous experience working with x86 or ARM-based servers and their associated subsystems.

Laboratory Skills: Extensive hands-on experience with lab equipment for product bring-up and design validation.

Analytical Excellence: Superior debugging and analytical skills with a proven ability to resolve sophisticated hardware issues.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder management.

Bonus Skills: Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting languages is highly desirable.
