Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Technical Business Development Manager to play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence within the semiconductor Test & Measurement industry at the intersection of engineering and commerce .
This role focuses on identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, building strategic relationships with key stakeholders, and promoting our test and measurement solutions to meet the evolving needs of semiconductor manufacturers and R&D teams.
The ideal candidate possesses the "hunter" mentality of a business developer paired with the deep analytical rigor of a Signal Integrity/Power Integrity (SI/PI) or Wireless Systems engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Development
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in the semiconductor T&M market.
- Analyze industry trends to forecast future customer requirements and influence the internal product roadmap.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies aligned with company objectives and defense sector trends.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities across IDMs, foundries, fabless, OSAT and other companies in semiconductor industry.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including IDMs, foundries, fabless, OSAT and other companies in semiconductor supply chain.
- Oversee Proof of Concept (PoC) projects, ensuring technical milestones demonstrate clear ROI to the customer.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote capabilities and solutions.
Market Intelligence & Analysis
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the semiconductor industry.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve revenue targets, including targeting new customer verticals and expanding existing accounts.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create technical collateral that speaks to the "Engineering Persona."
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, program management, and marketing teams to align business development efforts with technical capabilities and delivery timelines.
- Support internal teams and external partners with customer feedback and market requirements.
- Translate customer feedback and "unmet needs" into actionable technical specifications for the R&D and Product Management teams.
- Design and deliver technical training programs for sales colleagues to improve their ability to pitch complex system-level solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Engineering, Electronical Engineering or related fields
- At least 5 years of experience in the semiconductor, telecommunications or test and measurement industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of semiconductor technologies, along with expertise in testing requirements for RF, mmWave, high speed interfaces, and/or parametric applications.
- Strong track record in B2B technical sales, account management, or strategic partnerships.
- Ability to distill highly complex engineering concepts into persuasive business value propositions for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex customer needs.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
