Overview

We are partnering with a global specialty ingredients business to recruit a Technical Manager – Personal Care, APAC. Based in Vietnam, this regional role will lead technical support and application development for personal care ingredients across Asia-Pacific.

Working closely with commercial, R&D, marketing, and regulatory teams, you will help customers translate product concepts into effective formulations, support product launches, and strengthen the organization’s technical presence in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical service and application development activities for personal care customers across APAC.
• Develop and demonstrate formulations and product applications that address customer needs and market trends.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and product recommendations to customers and internal commercial teams.
• Support customer projects from initial brief and laboratory trials through evaluation and launch.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, training sessions, and product demonstrations.
• Gather customer feedback and market insights, sharing relevant findings with regional and global teams.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, R&D, regulatory, and quality teams on product launches and customer initiatives.
• Support the preparation of technical materials, formulation guides, and other customer-facing resources.
• Ensure laboratory activities and technical documentation follow applicable safety, quality, and company procedures.
• Manage regional priorities and projects, and travel across APAC as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in technical service, application development, or formulation within the personal care or cosmetics ingredients industry.
• Strong knowledge of personal care formulations and ingredient applications across relevant product categories.
• Experience supporting customers and coordinating technical projects across multiple markets.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
• Fluency in English; Vietnamese and other regional language skills are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel regionally as required.
