Field Applications Engineer (AI & Edge Computing)
Responsibilities
-
Product Expertise: Serve as a technical authority on our hardware and software solutions, maintaining a deep understanding of current features and future product roadmaps.

Technical Messaging: Master and articulate complex technical value propositions to support business development and sales cycles.

Sales Support: Deliver comprehensive technical assistance to the regional Business Manager to drive growth and expand the local market.

Customer Engagement: Conduct on-site customer visits to provide end-to-end support, including technical presentations, debugging, code development, and guidance through the productization phase.

Training & Presentation: Lead technical training sessions and product demonstrations for customers.

Systems Analysis: Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer use cases and system architectures to ensure successful technology integration.

Integration Management: Proactively assist customers in evaluating and integrating our solutions, ensuring a smooth path from initial testing to final mass production.

Gap Analysis: Analyze customer requirements and identify documentation or feature gaps; collaborate with internal teams to resolve these issues.

Relationship Building: Foster strong technical relationships with customers to better understand their long-term requirements and challenges.

Technical Alignment: Manage the technical alignment process, establishing work plans with customers and providing critical feedback to Product and R&D teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Business Group to achieve commercial milestones and work with the Product team to define requirements for future generations of technology.
Requirements

Location: Taipei, Taiwan.

Travel: Ability to travel occasionally within the region for customer support and internationally for headquarters-based training.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software or embedded development.

Learning Agility: A quick learner capable of bridging different technological disciplines with a high-level system orientation.

Embedded Systems: Strong experience with Linux and/or RTOS environments.

Programming: Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.

Problem Solving: Exceptional on-site troubleshooting and deep-dive analytical skills.

Language: Fluency in English (minimum reading and writing proficiency).
Preferred Qualifications

AI/ML Expertise: Experience with Machine Learning, Edge AI, or camera application development.

SoC Ecosystems: Familiarity with camera devices or vision pipeline development based on SoCs from providers such as Qualcomm, MediaTek, Novatek, SigmaStar, Ambarella, or Rockchip.

Customer-Facing Background: Previous experience in Application Engineering (FAE), System Engineering, or Program Management.

Neural Networks: Practical experience in Deep Learning frameworks, specifically:
