Freelance KYC Officer F / M

Our client is urgently seeking an experienced Second Line KYC Remediation Analyst to support a high‑priority remediation project driven by upcoming audits.

You will perform second-line compliance activities focused on reviewing, analysing, and remediating client files. You will work closely with the project lead to ensure all documentation is up to date, risks are properly classified, and all data is accurately registered in the internal tool.

This position suits a candidate who is hands-on, analytical, fast, and able to deliver quality work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis of client files as part of the KYC remediation effort.
• Update and complete KYC checklists according to internal standards.
• Review and formalize risk classification forms.
• Register remediation outcomes and profiles.
• Support both first-line controls (document review, data completion) and second-line oversight (validation, quality checks).
• Deliver audit‑ready documentation to meet tight deadlines.
• Report progress proactively and escalate issues when needed.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience in KYC/AML remediation, including hands‑on, manual file analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver autonomously.
• Fluency in French and Dutch—essential for document review.
• Familiarity with risk classification frameworks and compliance methodologies.
• Previous experience with remediation projects or audit preparation is a strong plus.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup.
• Knowledge of Credit Rating tools is an advantage; training can be provided.
