Our client, a leading international financial institution, is seeking an Investment Banking Senior Associate / Junior VP to strengthen its Brussels-based team. This position offers direct exposure to high-profile M&A, financing, and strategic advisory transactions for corporate and institutional clients.
The Role
As an Investment Banking Senior Associate / Junior VP, you will play a pivotal role in the execution and management of complex transactions. You will be involved in financial analysis, transaction execution, client interaction, and the supervision of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Execution
- Support the structuring, analysis, and execution of M&A and financing transactions.
- Manage multiple live transactions and workstreams simultaneously.
- Coordinate interactions between clients, external advisors, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead due diligence processes and ensure efficient transaction execution.
Financial Analysis & Valuation
- Review and oversee the development of complex financial models, including DCF, LBO, and operating models.
- Deliver in-depth financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and review transaction-related documentation and materials.
Client Relationship & Business Development
- Develop and deliver insightful strategic presentations and recommendations.
- Contribute to origination efforts and identify new business opportunities.
- Support the preparation of pitches and marketing materials for prospective clients.
Team Leadership
- Coach, mentor, and supervise analysts, associates, and interns.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of financial analyses and client deliverables.
- Foster collaboration and professional development within the team.
Profile
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Law, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in investment banking, M&A, corporate finance, or transaction advisory.
- Strong expertise in financial modelling and valuation methodologies.
- Proven ability to independently manage complex transactions from start to finish.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail combined with sound commercial judgment.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are considered an asset.
