Chief Executive Officer
Full-time · Based anywhere in Canada (remote)
A rare opportunity for a visionary, rallying leader to take a trusted national humanitarian organization through a significant transformation, scaling revenue, volunteer engagement, and a visible national presence in support of life-transforming surgical care in Africa.
Mercy Ships Canada helps deliver free, life-transforming surgery to people in Africa aboard hospital ships, and funds projects that strengthen surgical care in the countries the ships serve. As our current Executive Director’s mandate comes to an end, we are seeking a visionary, compassionate and mission-driven leader to take MSCA into its next phase of growth and national impact, scaling revenue and volunteer engagement, modernizing the organization, and building a visible, trusted national presence. This is a national leadership role that can be based anywhere in Canada, combining strong remote leadership with frequent travel across Canada and internationally. Because Mercy Ships operates in many French speaking countries in Africa and our mandate is to recruit bilingual volunteers, bilingualism (English and French) is strongly preferred. For more in
formation about Mercy Ships Canada, visit mercyships.ca.
