The Role
We are looking for an experienced Finance (Assistant) Manager to join the finance team of an international organization.
This position will take ownership of key finance and accounting activities, including financial closing, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. The role will also supervise junior team members and work closely with business stakeholders to strengthen financial processes, controls and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Closing
- Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, ensuring financial information is accurate and delivered on schedule.
- Review financial statements, management reports and variance analysis to provide clear visibility into business performance.
- Ensure accounting activities and financial records are maintained in accordance with local statutory requirements, GAAP and IFRS.
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts and longer-term financial planning.
- Analyze financial and operational performance and provide insights to support management decision-making.
- Monitor key financial indicators including cash flow, working capital and operational KPIs.
Finance Operations & Team Management
- Supervise and develop junior finance/accounting team members while coordinating day-to-day priorities and deliverables.
- Review and improve finance processes, internal controls and operating procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and support internal/external audits and statutory reporting.
Stakeholder & Compliance Management
- Coordinate with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax authorities, banks and professional advisors.
- Ensure finance activities comply with applicable tax regulations, internal policies and control requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Around 5–7 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, including experience taking ownership of key finance activities or supervising junior team members.
- A combination of Big 4 audit and in-house corporate finance/accounting experience would be highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting, IFRS / GAAP and relevant tax requirements.
- Hands-on experience with major ERP systems and strong Excel capabilities.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.
- Good command of written and spoken English for communication in an international working environment.
