Job Title: Regional HR Manager
Location: Hong Kong
(Regional scope; travel may be required depending on business needs.)
Overview
We are recruiting a Regional HR Manager for a luxury retail and lifestyle brand environment in Hong Kong. In this role, you will lead and oversee HR strategy and day-to-day HR operations across the region, partnering closely with business leaders to support talent management, performance management, recruitment, employee relations, and learning & development. The successful candidate will be hands-on, highly organized, and experienced in operating within a brand-led, customer-focused retail culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Regional HR Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives across the region.
- Drive consistent HR policies and practices while adapting to local needs.
- Talent & Recruitment
- Lead recruitment planning with business leaders; oversee end-to-end hiring processes.
- Support employer branding initiatives and candidate experience.
- Ensure effective workforce planning and headcount management.
- Performance Management & Talent Development
- Support performance review cycles, goal setting, and talent calibration processes.
- Identify training and development needs and implement capability-building initiatives.
- Support succession planning and internal mobility programs.
- Employee Relations
- Handle employee relations matters professionally and confidentially.
- Provide coaching to line managers on HR policies, performance issues, and disciplinary actions.
- Manage conflict resolution and drive effective workplace practices.
- Compensation & Benefits
- Support benchmarking, salary review processes, and compensation structures.
- Oversee benefits administration and ensure compliance and vendor coordination.
- HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure HR operations run smoothly, including HRIS data accuracy and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Hong Kong labour laws and internal policies.
- HR Reporting & Analytics
- Produce regular HR reports and dashboards (headcount, attrition, recruitment metrics, training participation, etc.).
- Use insights to propose improvements to staffing and retention strategies.
- Process Improvement
- Review and improve HR workflows to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with leadership teams, department heads, and HR colleagues.
- Communicate HR priorities and changes clearly and consistently.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Experience: Typically 6–10+ years of HR experience, including regional / multi-country / cross-team exposure and at least 3+ years in a managerial HR role.
- HR Expertise: Strong capability across recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and HR operations.
- Retail/Luxury Advantage: Experience in retail, hospitality, luxury, or client-facing service industries is a plus.
- Local Knowledge: Practical working knowledge of Hong Kong employment practices and labour regulations.
- Communication: Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage.
- People Skills: Strong coaching skills with the ability to influence managers and build trust.
- HR Systems: Proficient with MS Office; experience with HRIS/talent management systems is preferred.
