Major Areas of Responsibility

1. Intellectual Property & Patent Legal Matters

   • Provide legal advice on intellectual property matters, with a strong focus on patent-related issues, IP risk assessment, and protection of intellectual property rights.

   • Support IP strategy development and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel on patent-related matters.

2. IP Litigation & Dispute Management

   • Handle and manage IP-related disputes, particularly patent litigation, including legal risk assessment, dispute resolution strategies, and coordination with external counsel.

   • Provide legal recommendations to mitigate IP risks and protect business interests.

3. Commercial Contracts & Negotiation

   • Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including IP-related agreements, licensing agreements, NDAs, and other business contracts.

   • Assess contractual risks and provide practical legal solutions aligned with business objectives.

4. Legal Advisory & Business Partnership

   • Act as a legal business partner to cross-functional teams, providing legal advice on IP, contractual, and general corporate legal matters.

   • Support business decisions by identifying legal risks and recommending practical solutions.

5. Legal Risk Management & Process Improvement

   • Identify potential legal risks and recommend preventive measures.

   • Support improvements to legal processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Law or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of corporate legal experience, with solid hands-on experience in intellectual property and patent-related legal matters (required).

• IP Expertise: Practical experience in patent-related legal matters, including IP disputes, patent litigation, patent risk assessment, or IP-related agreements.

• Contract Management: Strong experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.

• Language: Proficient in both Chinese and English, with strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Professional Qualifications: Taiwan Attorney License or U.S. Bar admission is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in patent litigation, IP dispute resolution, and working with external legal counsel.

• Experience in corporate compliance, regulatory compliance, or legal risk management.

• Experience supporting cross-functional teams in a multinational corporate environment.
