Accounting Stream Leader – Intercompany

Location: Warsaw
Work mode: Hybrid (2 days in the office)

Main purpose of the job:

Lead and own end-to-end intercompany processes across 30+ legal entities, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant execution, while strengthening governance, resolving cross-entity issues, and driving process improvements.

Key accountabilities:

• Own end-to-end intercompany accounting and settlement processes across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
• Lead and coordinate intercompany activities, including reconciliation, invoicing flows, settlements, and payment processes
• Act as the process owner and main point of coordination across legal entities, ensuring smooth execution and alignment
• Manage intercompany discrepancies, missing documentation, and reconciliation issues, ensuring timely resolution
• Act as an intermediary between invoicing and invoiced entities, BPO, and internal teams to resolve open items and process gaps
• Oversee intercompany payment flows, ensuring on-time execution and resolution of payment-related issues
• Identify root causes of recurring issues and drive corrective and preventive actions to improve process stability
• Ensure strong governance, internal controls, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Monitor risks, exceptions, and control gaps, and implement actions to strengthen operational discipline
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and readiness
• Collaborate with BPO providers and global stakeholders to ensure effective execution of intercompany processes
• Act as the key point of contact for intercompany-related topics and manage stakeholder communication and escalations
• Support transitions, system changes (including SAP), and implementation of new processes impacting intercompany

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Professional accounting certification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is a strong advantage
• Proven experience in accounting with strong exposure to intercompany processes, reconciliations, and settlements
• Strong experience working in SAP within accounting processes
• Very good understanding of intercompany accounting principles, payment flows, and cross-entity transactions
• Experience in multinational or shared services environment is a strong advantage
• Experience working with outsourced teams (BPO) and complex, cross-entity processes is an advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage discrepancies, documentation gaps, and complex issues
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across multiple teams and geographies
• Strong focus on controls, compliance, audit readiness, and risk mitigation
• High level of ownership, autonomy, accountability, and quality orientation
