This awarding winning local authority serves Scotland’s second largest mainland council area, and 23 islands.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver and manage mechanical maintenance and asset sustainability projects.
- Act as Contract Administrator for allocated projects and maintenance programmes.
- Oversee contractors, compliance activities, and statutory inspections.
- Support mechanical compliance activities including:
- Water hygiene and Legionella control
- Gas safety
- Pool plant maintenance
- Undertake site surveys, condition surveys, audits, and asset management activities.
- Manage project budgets and monitor expenditure.
- Provide technical advice to clients and support emergency situations.
- Participate in an out-of-hours emergency rota.
Essential Requirements
- HNC/HND in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience delivering mechanical projects and maintenance contracts.
- Contract administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, including CDM Regulations and asbestos regulations.
- Significant knowledge of water hygiene/Legionella control.
- Experience using Microsoft Office.
Desirable Requirements
- NEBOSH qualification.
- Relevant mechanical trade qualification or professional membership (e.g. CIBSE).
- Experience within a large public-sector property portfolio, preferably local government.
- Experience using property asset management systems
This is a hybrid working position with attendance on site and office when required.
