Summary

As a senior member in the team, the incumbent will assist Head of Communications for APAC to develop and implement communications strategies for the region, with a focus on internal communications. He/she will also be the communications lead for Energy & Real Assets (ERA) activities for APAC.

 

This is a maternity cover role.

 

Key Responsibilities

Internal Communications for APAC

  • Implement internal communications strategy that engages and informs colleagues on the Bank’s priorities for APAC

  • Drive and implement leadership communications including management town-hall, all-staff announcement and messages

  • Plan and develop communications materials including the Bank’s intranet and staff newsletters; manage end-to-end delivery from idea generation, content creation and review to publishing

  • Act as the regional Communications go-to for APAC markets

  • Work with Head Office on global communications initiatives involving APAC contributions; facilitate APAC communications pipeline with Head Office as and when needed

  • Support communications (internal) for Support Function

  • Communications lead for Energy & Real Assets (ERA) in APAC

  • Working closely with ERA business heads, formulate and implement an integrated communications plan across internal and external channels including media engagement

  • Collaborate and engage regularly with ERA communications team at Head Office to align APAC plans and actions with the global plan as and when needed

  • Manage and produce communications materials including videos and graphics as and when needed

  • Assist to create KPI reports for APAC in alignment with Head Office guidance

  • Support external and internal event management as and when required

  • Perform ad hoc and on-going communications projects as required

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Hong Kong Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy. Complete any mandatory training in line with legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements.

  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

  • Refrain from taking any steps which could lead to the removal of certification of fitness and properness to perform the role.

 

Profile

  1. Recognised bachelor degree holder

  2. At least 8 years of experience in communications for financial institutions, preferably in corporate banking investment banking; experience working with media is a plus

  3. Excellent writing skills with the ability to simplify complex subject matter into strong, impactful messaging and communications collateral

  4. Excellent command of spoken & written English; French is preferred but not a must

  5. Video production experience is preferred
