Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Confidential Search - We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for a leading banking & financial services company to spearhead its digital transformation, AI adoption, and overall technology strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will be responsible for scaling the company’s technology infrastructure, leading multi-functional R&D and engineering teams, and turning cutting-edge technology—particularly Artificial Intelligence—into high-impact financial products and consumer-facing services.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute a long-term technology and AI roadmap aligned with overall corporate strategy, driving growth across consumer and commercial banking platforms.
• Lead the deployment of AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics into core business operations, credit scoring, personalized wealth management, fraud prevention, and automated customer service.
• Oversee product & technical development, ensuring resilient, scalable, and intuitive digital banking products that deliver exceptional user experiences to end consumers.
• Direct cross-functional product, IT, data science, and software engineering teams. Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous delivery, and operational agility.
• Drive technology initiatives across global/regional offices, managing cross-cultural engineering teams and external vendor ecosystems effectively.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies (such as Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission) to ensure strict adherence to financial security standards, data privacy regulations, and cloud compliance frameworks.

 
 
 
 
 
Required Qualifications

• 15-25 combined working experience with proven success in executive leadership roles (e.g., CTO, CDO - Chief Data Officer, VP of Engineering) within Fintech, Banking, Financial Services, or high-scale AI/Tech industries.
• Demonstrated experience delivering real-world, consumer-facing products or services powered by AI/ML and modern cloud technologies from inception to launch.
• Deep familiarization with enterprise banking systems, core API banking, cybersecurity, and enterprise AI lifecycle management, and cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong relationships within the regional technology, fintech, and startup ecosystem in Taiwan and broader APAC.
• Cross-Cultural Leadership: Strong experience leading diverse, cross-cultural, and multidisciplinary engineering and R&D organizations.
• Ability to translate complex technical architectures into measurable business outcomes, ROI, and commercial growth.
• Exceptional communication skills with the capability to align board members, business units, and technical teams around unified digital initiatives.
• Business-fluent Mandarin speaking and writing skills (required to work effectively with executive leadership, board members, local regulators, and regional teams).
