About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Tactical Buyer to join a global supply chain organization. This role is responsible for tactical purchasing, supplier management, material availability, and delivery execution across ODM/OEM manufacturing partners. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time product delivery, optimize inventory, support NPI programs, and mitigate supply chain risks in a fast-paced international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with ODM partners and approved vendors to ensure material availability and support quarterly business objectives.
- Coordinate shipments with ODMs to minimize premium freight costs while meeting customer delivery commitments.
- Manage supplier delivery performance to maintain high on-time delivery (OTD) standards.
- Partner with suppliers and ODMs to reduce excess and obsolete (EOL) inventory through order cancellations, inventory disposition, or alternative solutions.
- Expedite critical materials for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs to ensure successful product launches.
- Work with planning teams to optimize material allocation during supply shortages.
- Drive second-source implementation with ODMs and engineering teams to improve supply continuity and reduce material risks.
- Execute daily purchasing activities, including purchase order management, shipment scheduling, and ERP data maintenance.
- Coordinate with Planning, Logistics, Manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure accurate system data and smooth supply chain execution.
- Resolve purchase order, shipment, and EDI-related issues with suppliers.
- Support NPI material planning and manage risk-buy materials with ODMs and planning teams.
- Prepare operational reports and supply chain metrics for management review.
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- Minimum 5 years of purchasing, tactical buying, or supply chain experience, preferably within ODM/OEM or electronics manufacturing environments.
- Experience working in multinational corporations is highly preferred.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate supply risks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across suppliers, engineering, planning, logistics, and operations teams.
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced, international environment.
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Experience working with ODM/OEM manufacturing partners.
- Background in consumer electronics, IoT devices, networking, or high-tech manufacturing.
- Experience supporting the complete product lifecycle from NPI through EOL.
- Proven track record in supplier performance management, shortage mitigation, and delivery execution.
