Legal Counsel

We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to provide legal support across business operations and work closely with internal stakeholders on commercial and contractual matters.

This role will focus on commercial contracts, legal advisory, compliance and risk management, while partnering with different functions to support business objectives and provide practical legal solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, assessing contractual risks while taking business needs and opportunities into consideration.
• Provide day-to-day legal advice and support to internal business teams on commercial and contractual matters.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify legal risks and develop practical solutions.
• Develop, review and improve contract templates, internal policies and legal guidelines.
• Provide legal and compliance-related training to relevant stakeholders.
• Support or lead cross-functional projects involving legal, contractual or compliance matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve legal processes and enhance efficiency in day-to-day operations.
• Handle other legal and administrative matters as required.

Requirements

• Degree in Law or a related legal discipline.
• Previous in-house corporate legal experience, with the ability to independently manage legal and contractual matters.
• Solid experience in commercial contract drafting, review and negotiation.
• Taiwan Attorney License or US Bar qualification is a plus.
• Proficient in both Mandarin Chinese and English, with the ability to work effectively in a bilingual business environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and communication skills.
• Commercially minded and able to balance legal risks with business objectives.
• Self-driven, adaptable and comfortable working independently as well as cross-functionally.
