Job Summary
This role will lead operations, quality, maintenance, process engineering and supply chain team, under company’s critical division. This role offers an opportunity to build and grow the manufacturing capabilities in Taiwan. The ideal candidate for this highly visible position will have demonstrated expertise leading a fast paced, complex manufacturing organization, supporting the worlds most advanced global industries, with superior quality and supply expectations.Responsibilities:
- Execute operational strategy, ensuring long term optimal capacity and world class performance
- Cultivate a culture of commitment to safety excellence, while ensuring responsible and disciplined operations within the plant, ensuring compliance with legal and environmental safety standards
- Lead operations team to deliver key annual performance metrics and initiatives to meet safety, quality, throughput, delivery and financial commitments
- Manage and develop a high performing operations leadership team. Attract and develop core manufacturing roles to sustainably deliver annual performance and improvements in safety, quality, throughput, lead time, on-time delivery, yield and gross margin
- Work effectively and collaboratively across functions locally and globally, to ensure optimal customer supply, product performance and financial results
- Support new product transitions and ramps and manage the associated advanced manufacturing and automated process control systems, to ensure statistically capable products
- Build a culture of operational excellence using Lean, Six Sigma tools and methodologies to create and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, including the demonstrated use of SPC tools and processes
- Act as the senior leader for the campus, communicating, coordinating and interacting frequently with functional leaders on site, within Taiwan and globally
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering/Operations Management with an advanced degree in Business/Management preferred;
- 15+ years manufacturing or operations experience, particularly experiences in semiconductor industry in at least 5 years, with continuously increasing responsibility and oversight; international experience a plus
- Global Operational expertise and demonstrated success in a large-scale semiconductor equipment or component, chemicals or diverse manufacturing organization
- Manufacturing experience with both continuous and discrete processes; high mix and low volume, high volume and low mix products; new product ramps
- Collaborative leader who solicits ideas from groups beyond own area; considers impact of decisions on other functions/regions. Proven ability to successfully lead in a matrixed organization
- Creative problem solver encourages appropriate risk taking by team. Leads with tenacity and humility. Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Customer centric - takes personal ownership for customer related issues and effectively guides teams on appropriate resolution
- Track record of talent development, demonstrated commitment to building bench strength
- Strong written and spoken English and Mandarin capabilities
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills on technical and non-technical topics, to audiences across all levels of the organization
- Project management experience leading capacity expansion investments
- Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally
- Knowledge of the semiconductor /advanced manufacturing industry is a plus
