About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Director to lead and strengthen the engineering organization in Taiwan. This is a senior leadership role for someone who can bring strong direction, improve team execution, and drive meaningful change across engineering processes, product delivery, and organizational development. The successful candidate will work closely with regional and global stakeholders and serve as a key bridge between engineering, product, business, and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Taiwan engineering organization, including team structure, performance management, hiring, and leadership development.
• Improve engineering productivity, delivery quality, accountability, and overall team effectiveness.
• Provide clear technical and organizational direction across multiple engineering initiatives.
• Partner with product, business, and global technology teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement in software development processes, engineering governance, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Support the adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices, automation tools, and modern software development methodologies.
• Oversee the design and development of secure identity, authentication, biometric, or digital trust solutions.
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical, delivery, and organizational matters.
• Communicate effectively with international stakeholders across different regions and cultures.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software engineering, including several years in a senior engineering leadership role.
• Proven people management experience, including performance reviews, hiring, team development, and organizational planning.
• Demonstrated success in improving engineering delivery, team productivity, and execution discipline.
• Strong experience working across engineering, product, and business functions.
• Ability to lead transformation and influence teams in a complex or international organization.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, product development, and engineering best practices.
• Experience introducing AI-assisted development, engineering automation, or process improvement initiatives is highly preferred.
• Professional English communication skills and experience working with international teams.
