Position Overview
This role serves as a strategic finance partner at the corporate level, supporting business growth through financial planning, investment evaluation, and performance analysis. The position works closely with senior leadership to assess strategic initiatives, review business opportunities, and provide analytical insights that support key business decisions.
In addition to corporate FP&A responsibilities, the role is actively involved in evaluating investment opportunities, reviewing business performance, and supporting cross-functional strategic initiatives. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment that requires strong analytical capability, financial modeling, commercial acumen, and collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external advisors.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Investment Analysis
- Support financial evaluation for strategic projects, business expansion initiatives, partnerships, and investment opportunities.
- Develop financial models to assess business cases, including profitability analysis, valuation, cash flow projections, scenario planning, and investment returns.
- Review financial information, operating assumptions, and business plans to assess financial viability and investment risks.
- Prepare financial analyses and presentation materials for management discussions and executive decision-making.
- Coordinate with external professional advisors during project execution where required.
Business Performance Management
- Monitor and evaluate the financial performance of different business entities and strategic investments.
- Develop reporting frameworks to track financial and operational performance against business objectives.
- Identify performance gaps, business risks, and improvement opportunities through regular performance reviews.
- Support post-investment monitoring and follow-up on business initiatives to ensure expected outcomes are achieved.
Corporate Planning & Financial Analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term business planning activities.
- Prepare management reports, financial dashboards, and performance analysis for senior leadership.
- Analyze revenue trends, profitability, cost structures, working capital, cash flow, and capital expenditure.
- Provide financial insights to improve business performance and planning accuracy.
- Partner with Finance and business teams to strengthen reporting quality and decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment analysis, strategic finance, business analysis, corporate strategy, transaction advisory, consulting, or related functions.
- Strong financial modeling capability with experience in business valuation, investment analysis, scenario planning, and financial forecasting.
- Solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights.
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across multiple business functions.
- High level of integrity and sound professional judgment.
Preferred Background
- Experience supporting investment projects, strategic initiatives, business evaluations, or post-investment performance reviews.
- Experience in manufacturing, chemicals, industrial products, advanced materials, electronics, or other B2B industries.
- Previous experience in investment banking, Big Four Deal Advisory / Transaction Services, corporate development, consulting, or strategy-related functions is highly desirable.
- Experience working with multinational organizations or cross-border projects is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Power BI, ERP systems, or financial planning tools is a plus.
