Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice and practical support to different business functions on commercial, operational, employment and corporate matters.

Handle the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating various commercial agreements, confidentiality agreements and other business-related legal documents.

Work closely with internal teams to identify potential legal and compliance risks and provide commercially practical recommendations.

Develop and enhance contract templates, internal legal guidelines and related workflows to improve efficiency and consistency.

Keep track of applicable laws and regulatory developments and support the business in maintaining compliance with external requirements and internal standards.

Review external-facing business materials, including marketing and corporate communications, from a legal and regulatory perspective.

Maintain and periodically update internal compliance policies, procedures and guidance.

Act as the key point of contact for legal and compliance matters across the organization and promote compliance awareness among different functions.

Coordinate with external counsel and professional advisors on corporate, regulatory and other legal matters when required.
Candidate Profile
-
Around 10 years or more of relevant legal experience, preferably including experience in an established corporate environment.

At least 3 years of experience handling legal and/or compliance matters with a comparable level of responsibility.

Exposure to international business, cross-border transactions or overseas markets.

Experience supporting export-related business or operations would be highly relevant.

Strong understanding of corporate and commercial legal matters as well as applicable regulatory requirements.

Able to review legal issues from both risk and business perspectives and provide practical solutions.

Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance legal protection, operational needs and business objectives.
-
Comfortable working with senior management, internal business functions and external professional advisors.
-
Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management capabilities.
-
Fluent written and spoken Chinese and English; Japanese capability would be an advantage.

High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive matters.
