【New Taipei City】AI Data Center Thermal Simulation Engineer
(CFD / CAE / Thermal Analysis)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CFD/CAE thermal simulations for AI Data Center infrastructure, including air cooling and liquid cooling systems, to support product development, design validation, and thermal optimization.
- Conduct thermal performance analysis, identify root causes of thermal issues, and provide engineering recommendations to improve cooling efficiency, reliability, and overall system performance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Mechanical, Thermal, Electrical, System, Manufacturing, and Validation engineers—to resolve thermal challenges throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Evaluate and introduce new thermal technologies, simulation methodologies, and liquid cooling solutions to support next-generation AI server and data center platforms.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize thermal simulation workflows, including secondary development and automation of simulation tools to improve engineering productivity and analysis quality.
- Prepare technical reports, present simulation results, and communicate design recommendations to internal engineering teams and project stakeholders.
- Support new product introduction (NPI), design verification, and engineering validation activities through simulation-driven analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years experience in thermal simulation, CFD/CAE analysis, or electronic cooling design.
- Strong understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and electronic thermal management.
- Hands-on experience with one or more CFD simulation tools such as:
- FloTHERM
- FloTHERM XT
- FloEFD
- ANSYS Fluent
- ANSYS Icepak
- or equivalent simulation software.
- Familiarity with 3D CAD tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting NPI, design validation, or cross-functional product development is preferred.
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, scripting, or simulation workflow automation is a strong plus.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI Server, High-Performance Computing (HPC), Data Center, or liquid cooling system development.
- Knowledge of cold plate, immersion cooling, CDU, rack-level cooling, or thermal management for high-power electronics.
- Experience integrating CFD simulation results with laboratory testing and thermal validation.
- Familiarity with engineering automation, digital engineering, or AI-assisted simulation workflows is highly desirable.
