Role Overview Seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Hardware Engineering to lead a team of hardware design engineers delivering cutting-edge board designs, prototypes, and proof-of-concept (PoC) solutions for Tier-1 Cloud Computing and Hyperscale customers. In this leadership role, you will align cross-functional engineering efforts, define project deliverables and processes, and mentor engineering talent to deliver world-class infrastructure hardware on schedule.
Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Mentorship: Direct, mentor, and scale a team of hardware design engineers and technicians to achieve technical excellence and career growth.

Architecture & Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with system architecture, product management, and cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into detailed hardware specifications and executable design plans.

Customer & Executive Representation: Act as the primary technical liaison in executive reviews and customer-facing forums with Cloud/Hyperscale clients.

Execution & Delivery: Own the end-to-end hardware development lifecycle, ensuring board designs, prototypes, and PoCs consistently meet or exceed program milestones and performance targets.

Operational & Process Optimization: Establish scalable, cost-effective engineering practices; proactively identify and resolve technical, operational, and performance bottlenecks.

Performance Management: Monitor team output, establish KPIs, and report project health and operational status to senior management.
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or a related technical field.

Experience:
-
10+ years of direct hardware engineering experience, with a proven focus on Board Design and/or Server/Data Center Hardware.

8+ years in engineering management, technical program leadership, or design lead roles.

Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the full hardware development lifecycle (NPI, prototype build, validation, and transition to production).

Leadership & Influence: Proven track record of earning trust, influencing cross-functional partners, and managing geographically dispersed teams.

Problem Solving & Communication: Outstanding analytical, troubleshooting, and executive-level written and verbal communication skills.
