Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Lead Software Engineer – Platform to join our software engineering team and lead the development of platform-level software for next-generation embedded systems.
This role focuses on Embedded Linux, Linux kernel drivers, and system-level applications, with ownership of key features from concept through delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with technical leads and cross-functional teams while providing technical leadership and mentoring to other engineers.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong software engineering fundamentals, system-level debugging skills, and the ability to collaborate across software and hardware teams.
Key Responsibilities

Own and drive assigned software features from concept, design, development, debugging, and integration through final delivery.

Lead the development of Embedded Linux kernel drivers and user-space applications.

Design, develop, and debug platform software using C in both kernel and user-space environments.

Develop and integrate Linux drivers for peripherals and interfaces, including PCIe, USB, eMMC/SDIO, eSPI/SPI, I2C/I3C, and interrupt controllers.

Analyze system traces and logs to identify root causes and optimize system performance and reliability.

Perform hands-on embedded system debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG debuggers, and other system-level tools.

Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and verification teams to resolve complex system-level issues.

Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and external contractors.

Contribute to software architecture, development methodologies, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

Work with modern software development and collaboration tools, including Git/GitLab/Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.
Qualifications
-
10–15 years of overall software development experience.

10+ years of hands-on experience in Embedded Linux, Linux kernel drivers, and application development.

Strong C programming and debugging skills in both Linux kernel and user-space environments.

Solid understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and data structures.

Strong experience developing Linux drivers for peripherals such as:

PCIe

USB
-
eMMC / SDIO

eSPI / SPI
-
I2C / I3C

Interrupt Controllers

Good understanding of ARM and/or RISC-V processor architectures.

Hands-on experience with embedded system bring-up and hardware/software debugging.

Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG debuggers, and similar debugging tools.

Ability to analyze traces and system-level data for performance optimization and root-cause analysis.

Experience working with and coordinating external contractors or development partners.

Basic understanding of hardware IP architecture, development, and verification.

Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.

Proficiency with modern software development tools such as Git, GitLab/Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.
Preferred Profile

Strong hands-on Embedded Linux / Kernel background with system-level debugging experience.

Experience working across software and hardware boundaries.

Proven ability to take ownership of complex features and drive them through development to production.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking on multiple responsibilities as a technical leader and hands-on engineer.
